Our rating

The key criterion for entry into our Luxury Hotels Collection is that the hotel provides an outstanding guest experience. However there are small differences between the services, amenities and rooms offered at each property.

To help distinguish between hotels, we have developed our own star rating system based on our judgment and reports from clients and trade professionnals.

We have selected the best hotels from around the world, but circumstances at individual hotels can change quickly. We reserve therefore the right to update our selection and ratings from time to time as often as we deem this to be necessary.

Local category

Some hotels show in the information they publish to the general public a number of stars awarded locally by the country or the region. These criteria may vary significantly across countries and regions. We show the stars expressed in local terms, under the heading "Local category" whenever they appear in the information published by the hotels.
